Lever Pad
The lever pad upvc handle is different from the lever handles found on most doors. These handles are operated by one spindle or two spindles inline or offset. They are usually used on UPVC doors with double glazing. They are available in a variety of finishes & variations.

Doors that are internal and external require different levels of security.
The choice of cylinder is essential. It depends on the use that your doors and handles receive. External doors, for instance should be equipped with higher security cylinders and internal doors can be secured using a standard cylinder. Additionally, certain cylinders come with additional features that can improve security even more, like anti-drill or anti-bump features.
A euro cylinder should be measured correctly to ensure that it is the correct size for your door. The cylinder needs to be measured from the screw hole in the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, should there be one. If you are unable measure it using the lock in its position, you can take it out of it. It is crucial to ensure that there is no extension of the cylinder beyond the handle or escutcheon. This can make it susceptible to lock snapping attacks.
The design of the latest cylinders has anti-drilling and bump resistance features. These are designed to reduce the chance of a attack by forcing the cylinder rotate in a different direction. This will help to deflect the attack and keep your doors safe.
Certain cylinders are made to withstand snapping. This is a typical attack on cylinders. A specific tool is used to break the break line of the lock, and the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is much quicker and more straightforward than opening the door with a multipoint lock and leaves no evidence of a burglary, which can impede the insurance claim.
Spring Cassette
The spring cassette is situated in the base plate of the door handle. It provides a sprung solution to return the multipoint lock handles to their original position after using. There was a time when these types of handle did not have a spring integrated into them, and as a result, they can droop or drop once the locking mechanism is disengaged. This simple part is the most effective way to solve this issue. It also prevents your door from getting stuck in the closed or open position as they aren't easy to close manually.
These spring cassettes are specifically made for use with multipoint locks that are sprung, they will not fit non-sprung multipoint handles. You must have a bespoke hole cut into the backplate to allow them to fit (please see image for technical diagram). These cassettes are a replacement to damaged or missing cassettes on the backplate of uPVC door handles. They have a square cut out which can accommodate an 8mm spindle, and are sold as a set.
